This beer is a joint project between Maui Brewing, Hawaii’s leading microbrewery and Jolly Pumpkin Brewery which is known for their mastery of sour ales. Brewed with Hawaiiian passionfruit and Michigan cherries. Pours a copper light brown with a healthy white head. Aroma of passionfruit juice. This same flavor permeates the taste as well. Sweet, tropical pineapple, and very easy drinking. Not really picking up on the cherry but there is a tart finish
FINAL SCORE 4/5
Copper hazy color with thin white head. Aroma of oranges and sweet malt. Tastes like an marzen with a mouthful of orange zest. You wouldnt really know that its pomegranate until someone told you and then you’d say, “oh yeah.” Would be a great summer ale

Golden orange color with just a bit of white head. Aroma of pepper and cinnamon. Tastes like liquid pumpkin pie with nutmeg, cloves and honey

Golden color with not much of a head. Pungent red pepper aroma. Tastes exactly like someone soaked a red or green pepper in your pilsner. The pepper taste is a bit overwhelming. If they had toned it down a bit, it would have been a nice spicy summer ale

Cloudy auburn brown color with minimal head. Malty syrup aroma of port and molasses. Rich and sweet malty flavor with some nice tartness. Notes of orange and ginger. Finishes with barleywine-like maltiness enveloping the tongue.

Pours orange-brown color with medium white head. Citrus hefeweizen
like aroma. Taste of orange and oak. Finish is woody and has a complex
spice to it. I’m tasting some cinnamon and coriander but chocolate is
a bit hard to discern.
