Firestone Walker Sucaba

Dark brown-purplish color with thin white head. Aroma of chocolate malt, biscuits, maple syrup and bourbon. Taste is…hello flavor country, we’ve got a whole lot of complexity going on here: Vanilla, raisins, toasted malt, molasses, bourbon. The finish has another layer of oakiness followed by a tart sweetness. Surprisingly light body for a barleywine. More please.

Sudwerk Dopplebock

Wonderfully nutty and caramel candy aroma reminiscent of the legendary Paulaner Salvator which originated the style. Dark copper color with thick tan head. The taste is also incredibly similar to Salvator with its very sweet and nutty and toffee maltiness combined with a subtle roasted flavor. You can barely detect the high ABV content. An awesome example of the Dopplebock style. Wish this was available year round.
