Cloudy light brown color with thin white head. Musty oaky aroma with a hint of whisky. Sour tart palate with subtle fruit flavor. Hard to tell its cherry with any certainty. Initial taste reminds me of a Belgian lambic. Finish has mellow bourbon flavor with notes of vanilla. To find an American sour is rare and bourbon barrel aging, though rising in popularity, is still relatively rare. To find a barrel aged sour (two of my favorites) is a beer lovers holy grail.
FINAL SCORE 4.6/5
